Mark McGuire "Big Mac" collected 49 homers at Oakland in 1987. Most ever by a rookie. Some of his towering shots were 500+ feet. Jose Canseco, the 2nd bash brother, had more than phenomenal power, he also had speed. He was the first player in Major League history to hit 40 home runs and steal 40 bases in a single season.
